Modern industrial made ghee is extracted from milk-fat directly from Milk and full of chemical preservatives. For commercial gain they use A1 Milk (Non-Desi Cow i.e Jersy Cow). It create bad cholesterol and dangerous to human health.
To get utmost health benefits as like our ancestors, Vedic Ghee needs be prepared from curd which taken from Indian Indigenous cow milk(A2) in Vedic standard
Vedic Method
Gopalans should collect milk of a desi Gaumatha’s one day before full moon day. Milk is heated in a pottery vessel using cow-dung fire at low flame. Curd prepared from warm milk. On full moon day evening, entire curd is churned by using Wooden Hand Churner manually in clay pots. This way, we get butter milk and clarified butter. According to traditional Vedic Hand Churned method, butter obtained is then put in pottery vessel above cow-dung fire at low flame. This way, we obtain Ghee. Ghee quality, colour and flavour is based on the quality of cow’s milk, climate, fodder, warming period and butter quality. So Ghee colour, taste and texture may change due to these reasons. Around 40 to 50 lits of Milk is needed to make 1 kg of Ghee. Ghee made by this method is called Vedic Ghee.
